  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the first seven ingredients; mix well.
  2. Shape mixture into a log.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
  4. For topping, combine the bacon, sesame seeds and chives; roll cheese log in topping.
  5. Serve with vegetables or crackers.

Gotta agree, this recipe is awesome. I made it without the smoke and it still was awesome.

I SO wish my camera was working.. this is a great manly-man cheese ball. It was devoured. I garnished it with Italian parsely and served it for a football party with water crackers.

This is a wonderful cheese log! I will be serving it for my dinner party tomorrow night, I made it today and used green onions in place of chives and I did use half cheddar cheese and half monterey jack. I doubled the recipe and made 2 logs and will be serving it with raw veggies. This is just delicious, and will be going into my book of favorites to make again. Thanks so much for this wonderful recipe, this is certain to be a big hit!...Kittencal:)
