I've not made a cassoulet before, and I understand it's meant to stew for a bit longer, but I found this recipe to ex extremely easy, quick, but delicious! It was especially yummy with the diced apples. I used chicken apple sausage and added a bit more S&P (to taste).
The sausage was a spicy chicken sausage and the apple was cored and chopped but the peel left on. This made quick work of dinner and was served with a spinach salad to complete the meal. If I make this again, I think it would be great to add a small amount of crushed pepper flakes to add a little zip. Thanks for posting.
