  1. Yum! All the flavours were great together and the cream cheese gave a wonderful creaminess to the rice.

  2. Tried this along with the other sushi rolls I made last night. Very taste. Chop onions very fine and allow the flavors to blend with the cream cheese about 1/2 hour before rolling.

  3. Of the seven types of sushi we made last night, this was by far the best. I loved the smoked salmon with the cream cheese and onion....went great in the rice. It also looked pretty with the bright red salmon. Thank you so much for sharing this delicious sushi recipe that I will continue to make as I LOVED it.

  4. I'm eating some of this right now and it's delicious. I occasionally make makizushi and was looking for something different. The use of the cream cheese intrigued me and I have to say that the taste of all these flavours go together quite well. I shared it with a friend of mine who is a VERY finicky eater who has never eaten any sushi before and she enjoyed the taste of it. (I don't know who was more surprised; me or her boyfriend who typically does most of the cooking in their relationship) I think I will make a lot of this, not just for myself but for friends and family who may not be crazy about sashimi but may find themselves able to enjoy the flavour in a more western way. Thanks!

Wonderful as an appetizer, however we couldn't stop eating them and made a meal out of it!Plan to make again, this time experiment a little by adding a little crunch. Thinking of trying thnly sliced radishes, cut into match book sticks. Thanks for sharing Sara!

I'm married, I have 2 kids (both boys), and I live in Australia. I have loved cooking for as long as I can remember, and have become completely addicted to browsing through Zaar looking for new recipes! I have a small animal shelter for rabbits and guinea pigs, and spend most of my time looking after kids or critters!. My favourite cookbooks are The Essential Pasta Cookbook, The Central Cookery Book, Flo Bjielkie-Peterson's Country Cookbook, and Greek Cooking (I bought that one in Greece, and it's FANTASTIC). At the minute, we are getting ready to move, which is forcing me to sort through my recipe cabinet. I have been trying out all those recipes that are scribbled on pieces of paper, or torn from magazines, so I can decide ifthey are keepers or not. So far I've found a lot of keepers, and will work at posting them on here. I'm passionate about a lot of things, mainly my kids, animals, and cooking. I won't even start on my peeves, we'll be here all night! lol
