- 1 lb chicken breast (or thigh)
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 -2 tablespoon vegetable oil
directions
- Preheat smoker to 225°F.
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix to coat the chicken.
- Smoke with apple, hickory, maple, or pecan wood chips. Use the water tray in your smoker so the meat doesn't dry out.
- Depending on the thickness of the meat it will take anywhere between 45 minutes (for boneless thighs) to 2 hours (for large breasts). Meat is done when the internal temperature reaches 170-180.
