- 2 tablespoons cayenne, plus
- 1 teaspoon cayenne
- 2 tablespoons celery seeds, plus
- 2 teaspoons celery seeds
- 4 tablespoons lemon pepper
- 7 tablespoons garlic powder
directions
- Combine ingredients and store in an airtight container in a cool dry place.

WOW!!! this is an excellent spice blend.. just made it & tried a pinch..the cayenne "sneaks" up on you I didn't taste it but a second or 2 later you feel the warmth in the back of your mouth/throat.. I can tell b this will be one I use regularly.... so glad I was searching member seasoning cookbooks where this 1 was .... thank you Sue L for posting this

Used on jumbo shrimp, then sauteed them in a teflon frying pan. Just enough heat to make them interesting, but not so much you burn your mouth off! May try this on chicken next! We had a side dish of coleslaw with pineapple in it to kind of offset the hot of the shrimp. The contrast in flavors was very good!
