Well, I used this recipe as my starting point; I had half a turkey breast, with skin& bone, and no gravy... but I had to use the meat before it spoiled so I removed the skin, and substituted 2 cans of condensed Campbell's soup, one Golden Mushroom and one Cream of Mushroom w/ roasted garlic. I mixed the two, added some water to reach the right consistency....also added some chopped apple to the stuffing, and cooked it on High for 4 hours. It was fabulous! My kids loved it & had seconds. So while the ingredients were somewhat different, I thank you for the technique.
I made this a few weeks ago and forgot to rate it. It was super simple and I love turkey and stuffing but I wasn't loving the apple juice in the stuffing. Next time I'll try the sherry. Thanks for the recipe!
Excellent and easy to make! Truly a 5 star recipe.
This is a wonderful crock pot recipe. Thank you for sharing Chris from Kansas:)
Now you can pare down the holidays for just two folks instead of an entire flock! Perfect for a house of only two. Thanks!
This turned out great. I actually cooked a whole turkey in my crockpot and even the white meat was tender. I put a cut lemon into the cavity of the bird and followed the rest of the instructions as written. I am looking forward to all kinds of turkey leftovers. Thanks Chris from Kansas
I threw everything into my slow cooker at night and went to sleep. The next morning, I woke up to some seriously great smell. I didn't have sherry. Instead, I added 2 tablespoons white wine and some homemade apple cider. The flavor turned out fantastic! Make sure you don't overcook the turkey. I cooked mine for 9 hours and it was a bit dry...
This was really good... the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of five was my own fault. I used one of those young turkeys so I could fit the whole thing into the crock pot and I didn't care for the flavor of the turkey itself - too gamey - and it got little bones everywhere!!!
