  2. I made this today with some changes, 2 cloves garlic, 2 sm onions, 7 baby potatoes 2 carrots...used mustard in place of vinegar and 1 1/2 cups of ck broth, had no wine, 2 1/2 cups water, 2 1/2Lb pork shoulder cushion picnic. had a small crockpot, the rest was the same measured by eye so maybe a little more, 2 1/2Tbs starch mixed with 1Tbs hot water, added at 8 1/2 hrs into cooking on low for total 10 1/2 hrs at end. It was covered in sauce and came out great and juicy this time I served over rice.... was Fall apart Great !

  3. Overall a delicious recipe with all satisfied in my house. I tasted the sauce when I first made it and wasn't sure that I would like it, but after slow cooking the flavors melded well and the sauce was excellent on the meat and rice. I doubled the sauce since a few reviewers said they thought the meat came out dry, and my pork cushion was not at all dry. I did stop cooking between 7 - 7.25 hours (once the sauce returned to a boil to thickened from the corn starch), and flipped the roast about 2/3 of the way through so the part of the roast that was above the sauce was then submerged for the rest of cooking.

  4. Very good, maybe a little too much vinegar. Next time I'll hit it with more pepper sauce.<br/>It was a little dry, our sloow cooker is large so the liquid only covered half the 3.5 # "roast.'<br/>Should it been covered" Seved it over rice. We'll do it again

  5. To us the sauce was sweeter than we like and the roast seemed dry on the inside.
