  • In a frying pan, brown ground beef and pork chops.
  • In a blender or food processor, blend the Italian tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato puree, sugar, salt, pepper and oregano.
  • Add beef, pork, tomato mixture, red pepper flakes and bay leaves in slow cooker.
  • Cook for either 4 hours on high or 8 hours on low setting.
  • Serve with pasta.

  1. I thought it was OK. I would strongly suggest adding at least 3 ounces of tomato paste, some garlic, basil and pasrley, very important staples for a pasta sauce
     
  2. Great crock pot recipe! I added some garlic (because we love garlic) and used a little less red pepper flakes than it called for. We found it was a good amount of spice even though it was less than the recipe called for.
