  1. Wow! My family loved this stew, even the kids! I think we had one serving left at the end of dinner. I did toss the lamb in the spice mixture then brown it over medium-high heat in two batches in a non-stick 12" skillet with about a teaspoon of vegtable oil per batch. I also forgot to put the cilantro in--darn it, now I have a bunch of cilantro to figure out what to do with. We will definitely make this again.

  2. This was slightly sweet and very filling, but I didn't find it to be very spicy. My lamb was very tender. I also forgot the cilantro, but it was great. Also, I added some winter squash. I cooked 4 hours on high.

  3. This was SOoooooo yummy! I loved it. my kids were just ok with it. but I loved it a lot. I served it with a heavy sweeter bread. I also used morrocan rub and lamb spices (epicure pre mix) just because that is what I had. this is a dish worthy of company.

  4. What a great blend of flavors! This was a nice change of pace, and extremely easy to prepare. The cilantro really made the dish. 10 hours on low was a bit too long, so I recommend a shorter cooking time. My husband and teen-age boys were less than thrilled with the stew so I probably won't make again. If I do I'll add more cumin and cayenne.

  5. My sister made this, and I begged for the recipe! I will make this again & again. So simple, and the flavor is amazing. Because of how most crockpots cook fast we both cooked 4 hours on high, and 1 hour on low.... perfect!
