This was easy to make. I followed the recipe as written other then I mixed all the ingredients and added them all to the pot at the start of cooking. I also used olive oil instead of vegetable oil as that is what I buy. This made for tender cube steaks that were tasty.
This is excellent! It is fall apart tender and the gravy is wonderful. My kids loved it as well and have been asking for it since having it the first time!

This was an easy prep meal, the flavor was good and the steaks were quite tender. There however, was a lot of gravy and the steaks do start to fall apart. But still it was quite good.
Since I didnt have the onion soup mix I used a jar of dark mushroom gravy and mixed it with a can of condensed mushroom soup and a cup of water. This actually made it much easier to make. I followed all the other directions, frying the cube steaks with flour and salt first and used olive oil to fry them in. I put them in the crock-pot and covered them with sweet onions and 2 cups of water, cooked for 7 hours on low. At the end I added the gravy mixture and turned the crock-pot on high for about 45 minutes just to get it hot. Hubby loved it and inhaled it. This is a keeper and I think doing it the way I did saved a lot of time and made it much easier.
Yummmmmmmmmmmmy! My guests had three helpings. Hubby raved about it! So easy,. Will make again.
