Very good and perfect dish during the week. I did not add the bullion and used low sodium low fat cream of mushroom, everything came out great. The soup mix was enough salt. The chicken was tender and delicious. I added 1.5 lbs of baby potatoes cut in half and used fresh mushrooms. I cut the chicken into bite sized pieces, too. Thanks for a delicious recipe!
This was very good and easy to make. I cooked this in the oven and it turned out perfect. I cooked it at 350 for one hour and then at 275 for two hours. While were at my sons baseball game. The chicken was so tender and the sauce had great flavor. I couldn't find canned mushrooms at the store, so I just used whole fresh ones and I added 2/3 water(I was afraid the veggies would stick and burn). They turned out fine. I chopped one bell pepper(I had to use it before it went bad) and layered it on top of the chicken before adding the sauce. I will be making this again and again....Thanks Countrymama
Good! I reduced the potatoes to 3 b/c the crock pot was getting pretty full. I will double the sauce next time. This is more like a stew! Good!
I wish I could infuse this little review box with the smell of this when it's cooking--Wow! This is second ONLY to the taste--Yummy! Regular carrots cut into smaller pieces, canned mushrooms (2 - 4 oz. cans), 4 breast halves, and used 2 tsps of Dry Onion Soup Mix Substitute. This is a great "busy night" meal to put together early in the day, and then ready when you need to be! KEEPER!
This was really good. I made using only 3 chicken breasts, but left all the other amounts the same. I also used chicken stock instead of wine and a sprinkle of seasoned liquid gravy browner. DH and my 1 year old gobbled this up. I love it for its ease and variety. God bless the slow cooker!
I made this just as is, and it was delicious. Comfort food, pure and simple.
This was fabulous! I made it for my BF to eat while I was in class and it caused him to declare that the slow cooker was "magic"! I left out the mushrooms and used low-fat cream of chicken, due to allergy, and I used one packet of onion soup mix. I halved the carrots, potatoes, and chicken since there are only two of us and so there would be more sauce. There were no leftovers! This is definitely going to be made again! Thanks Mama!
This was wonderful! I rarely eat left overs, and I had it for dinner last night and again today for lunch. I used 3 jars of mushrooms (about 12 ounces) and I used 2 packages of the onion soup (more like 2 ounces). I also used 1/2 cup of white wine for a little more juice. Next time, I will add a little water as well. Thanks so much for this recipe!
I am so glad I found this recipe it is so very good. I was desperate to use up some chicken and not about to heat up the kitchen in this heat. I didn't have crm of mushroom soup so used crm of chicken soup, didn't have canned mushrooms so used fresh, didn't have onion soup mix so used onion mushroom soup mix and added in some garlic cause we love garlic but other than that I followed the recipe to a T.LOL It turned out so tender. This one is definately a keeper. Thanks for posting it.
We really liked this. I cooked it in the crockpot on high for four hours. The wine was a good addition. We will have this again.
