"Almost too easy, the chicken cooks in a creamy, cheesy sauce that is delicious over noodles. This freezes well, too"

Reviews

  1. Very easy to make, taste wonderful, I cut the boneless chicken into cubes before placing in crockpot. Served over egg noodles. My husband loved it and that means it has to be good!

  2. I use broccoli cheese soup. I cook extra broccoli and the sauce is very good over it too. I serve my chicken and sauce with rice.

  3. I made this for my husband's grandmother and she said it was good. YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT A COMPLEMENT THAT REALLY IS. She never likes anything I cook! It was very tender and a great way to serve chicken. I think you could use many other sauces and soups and make lots of variations on this dish.

  4. This was so easy and such a great tasting dish. I served it over rice. Next time I may add a small can of green chiles to it for a dah or color and taste. Thanks again!

  5. My husband loved it! Served over noodles. However, watch the chicken in the crockpot and make sure it's always covered. The tops that were sticking out were dry(my fault). Heard hubby bragging to daughter how good it was. Thank you.

Tweaks

  1. Low sodium cream of chicken soup and queso dip might work better if you're on a low sodium diet...

  2. The picture shows it the vegetables but recipe didn't so I added them. Absolutely came out wonderful. Love this one over the pasta

  3. To add some pizzazz to this, I sprinkle Cajun seasoning on the chicken. Then about a 1/2 hour before serving, add a bag of shredded colby jack cheese to the top and let it melt. I have made this in the crock pot, but also in the oven. If you use the oven, bake at 350 for an hour, then add the bag of cheese. Let the cheese melt and brown a little before serving. Another tip, add a bag of fresh broccoli/cauliflower/carrots, minced garlic to taste and onion flakes (I seldom have fresh onions, so use flakes) cook all together, pour over noodles, rice or potatoes and you have a yummy supper!

  4. No cheese soup available here su used chicken soup and cream cheese

  5. Great weekday meal! We love this on busy work nights when my son has baseball or soccer practice. I make egg noodles the night before with butter and when we get home just warm the noodles and serve this delish chicken and creamy cheese sauce over top with a quick frozen veg on the side. I sometimes use brocolli cheese soup instead of cheedar and serve with broccoli on the side. Enough leftovers for me and my hubby to each have a lunch during the week. Thanks for the great recipe!
