This was my first attempt to cook a dessert in my crock-pot. The cobbler turned out very well. I used fresh berries and we really liked the combination of blackberries and blueberries. Thanks for sharing this.

  1. In a bowl, combine flour, 3/4 cup sugar, and next 4 ingredients.
  2. Combine eggs, milk, and oil; stir into dry ingredients until just moistened.
  3. Spread batter evenly onto the bottom of a greased 5-quart slow cooker.
  4. In a saucepan, combine berries, water, orange peel and remaining sugar.
  5. Bring to a boil.
  6. Remove from heat; immediately pour over batter.
  7. Cover and cook on high for 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until tests done.
  8. Turn cooker off.
  9. Uncover and let stand for 30 minutes before serving.
