I got this recipe from my sister years ago and when I make it for friends they always ask for the recipe. I usually add more spices then the recipe calls for and add peppers on the beef with rolls when done.. Enjoy!!

  1. Put all ingredients in crock pot and Cook in crock pot around 6-7 hours on high that way when it's done all you have to do is shred it because it's so tender.
  2. You can add peppercini's and we sometimes add mozzarella cheese and put in under the broiler to melt and serve on hard rolls.

This was delicious! I lefted out the bay leaves cause we don't care for them. I did add a strange ingredient to this and that was log cabin syrup. I felt the flavor of the gravy was a bit strong, I wanted to add alittle sweetness to it. Turned out GREAT!! DH and I made hoagies with this and added swiss cheese on top and melted the cheese under the broiler. I used French Dip Au Jus for the dip. Thanks for sharing the recipe :)

Faith58 - you've cooked up another winner! My busy family needed a super easy meal. This one was perfect - easy and delicious!! We added some pepperoncinis to individual sandwiches for some extra zip. Best of all, it was so very nice to have a warm, homemade meal waiting at home at the end of a hectic day. PAC Fall 2006 - This was great!! I cooked a half recipe and will have enough for me this weekend also. I recommend it highly. It would be a great addition to a Holiday Menu because it would cook itself. Thanks Faith58
