Yum! I made this as directed, except that I also added some potatoes, baby carrots, and celery to the crockpot. Smelled good, tasted great, and I ended up with a full meal on the table in minutes when it was done. Thanks Lainey for sharing. Made for ZWT8 - Great Britain.
Delicious and couldn't be easier or more versatile! This was so easy to put together, and smelled wonderful while it was cooking in the crockpot. I served it very simply with mashed potatoes, but it could go over noodles or rice, or in a pot pie as well ( I may use the leftovers that way!) Veggies could be added to make a delicious stew too! A real winner! Made for ZWT8
Perfectly simple dinner to prepare without a lot of preparation which is a huge benefit. The roast was fork tender. The only little change was I added a bit of garlic seasoning to the mix just because we love that flavor. Served with brown rice and veggie mix on the side and it was perfect! Thanks for a great recipe. Tagged in Gimme 5 game.
This was good and easy to through together before walking out the door in the morning. I followed the recipe exactly as written.
This was sooo good. It was fall apart tender and very moist. I gave it 4 stars for flavor (I don't think you can get any higher for pot roast) and 5 stars for simplicity. This required minimum prep work and took only a minute or so to put together. I made and reviewed this for ZWT4. Thanks for posting Lainey.
I did this in the slow cooker but used casserole pieces instead of a whole roast, the meat by the end of cooking was so tender it was just great. I added some canned baby potatoes towards the end of cooking & served it over Mediterranean Rice. My only problem with this was that there wasn't much sauce left by the end of cooking so I would increase the liquid portion by a bit for next time but thanks for a nice simple, great tasting recipe!
This was delicious! Even though I wondered about the amount of basil, I trusted the chef's taste and used it all. After the roast was fall apart tender (6 hours), I removed some of the juice, blended it with cornstarch & returned it to the pot. I served the roast and gravy with Golden Whipped Potatoes and hot rolls for a great meal with little effort. Thanks for sharing your recipe!
