- 850.48 g condensed tomato soup
directions
- Brown the meat, breaking it up, until all fat has disappeard.
- Lower heat to medium and add the Hot Shot, salt, chili powder and flour.
- Mix well to distribute the flour throughout the meat.
- Stir in the tomato soup, Worcestershire sauce and brown sugar.
- Continue to simmer and stir until thickened.
- The longer you let it simmer, the better the flavors will bond.
- It will thicken a bit more during cooling.

We really liked this spicy version of Sloppy Joes. It has more of a spicy Mexican flair than the traditional BBQ flavor. I reduced the recipe to only prepare half. I was unsure what the hotshot seasoning was so decided it was cayenne (red) and regular black pepper. I reduced the cayenne by half again and it was plenty spicy :O I served this with your potato salad recipe and a marinated cucumber salad. I would make the sloppy joes again. Thanks for sharing your recipe!
