My family went crazy over this! It was easy and tasty. My husband said he doesn't want "regular" sloppy joes ever again! I used a little over 1.5 lbs. of ground beef, so I scaled the sauce ingredients up. Other than that, I followed to a "T". It was difficult to get the top layer of crescent rolls sealed and to the edge of the pan, so I gave up on it, and it was still fine! I used 2 cups of cheese on top, since the recipe does not specify. It took about 20 minutes in the oven. Very quick, very tasty and family friendly! Thanks for sharing!

My picky teenager loved it. He thought it was some sort of pizza dish, so he gobbled it down. Thanks for all the extra tips Karen, they worked well. This is a keeper. Thanks!

This was a big hit! I added green pepper when browning the beef, and about 4oz. of sour cream for a richer flavor. I also substituted cheddar cheese for the mozzarella! MMMMM

Quite tasty! DH asks that I not make this too often. He considers it a risk to his waistline! Substiuted ground turkey, and cheddar cheese for personal preference. Easier to serve if you let it sit for about 5 minutes out of the oven. I think next time I may cheat and buy a can of "Manwich"!!

This is very easy to make and very delicious. It tastes like my mom's chili recipe. My niece and nephew really like it too.

My husband loved this. I am not a hamburger fan but it was OK. One pan was enough for 2 nights, and we had a can of baked beans with it. Pretty good.

This is a family pleaser. We like to add a little brown sugar to sweeten it up a bit. We also use cheddar cheese instead of the mozzarella. Shared it with my sister and her kids. It was a hit with them, too.

This was okay, but was a little too sweet and ketchup-y for us. Our search continues...

I made this tonight, it was relatively quick and easy. The only thing I did differently was used cheddar instead of mozzarella. It wasn't bad, but the bottom layer of dough didn't cook.

This made a very good meal. Sloppy Joe's are my eldest son's favorite- so it was nice to find a slightly different way to eat them. (My husband actually prefers this version.) This will definitely be made again. I didn't follow this recipe exactly- I don't make my sloppy joe's by a recipe. I use whatever I have on hand and never measure. This time it was 1 1/2# turkey burger, a can of tomato soup, a squirt of honey mustard, bbq sauce & enough ketchup till it looked right. I baked it for about 25 minutes in my stone baker and it came out golden brown. The bottom crust might not of been cooked completely, but we didn't notice.

This is a hearty, filling recipe. I wasn't sold on the flavour myself but my husband & mother gobbled it up. I used half a cup of shredded marble cheese & half a cup of mozzarella - other than that, I followed the recipe exactly. I found the bottom dough never really cooked at all & it took about 20 minutes or so to get the top layer browned.

Wonderfull.I had a little over a lb and a half of beef i doubled the sauce ingredients and it came out just fine.I used buttery cresents wich gave it a nice flavor and i had no problems with the bottom layer it came out just fine. Thanks.

i cant really give this stars because i didnt measure anything, and sort of made it my own. I added vinegar instead of water (probally only 1/4 cup), lots more chili powder while cooking the meat and mixing in the wet ingredients, garlic powder, and used onion powder instead of onions. I also ommited the cheese and the bottom layer of cresent rolls. For concept this is a 5 star recipe, but my family is used to my sloppy joes, sans cheese lol and because another reviewer mentioned the bottom part kind of disapeared i didnt want to waste a can of crescents. I will be making this again - dbf called them "un sloppy joes" and the whole 8 x 11 is gone - which with three people is a rareity, thanks for the great idea!

I'm not a great big fan of putting dough over meat and then cooking it. So I just cooked up the meat mixture and served it over rice. I think it would be equally good over a bun or pasta. Just seems to taste and look better if it is not hidden under a dough crust. Was good Amy

I hate to be the one to give this recipe a not-so-great review but we weren't that crazy about this. I used 1.18 lbs of lean ground beef and the stated amt of water and I thought it was a little too runny. I did let it simmer as directed, for even longer actually. I also thought it had a strong ketchup taste. I like the idea of using the crescent rolls but I don't think I will make this particular recipe again. Sorry.
