Pretty good, will definitely be making this again! I will increase the pepper flakes next time though, it needs some more heat. :-)

To spicy! But...I ended up adding a few dollops of honey and brown sugar and it has a good bbq sauce taste to it so all is not lost. We'll use it on ribs tomorrow night for dinner. Might try again but will cut the chili pepper flakes way down.

Thnx for saving the day, Iowahorse. Needed some mix for Sloppy Joe Pasta. Did sub fresh garlic and did not have green chili pepper flakes so used some green Tabasco. Worked out well. A salad on the side, and it didn't need anything else. Thnx for posting your recipe.

Have been making this for years. I do not buy those expensive package mixes; I usually have all the stuff on hand to mix up my own. Made this to use with Pepper Beef Goulash recipe #100286.

This is the best of all these homemade spice packets. My friends and family won't eat the package mix anymore. GREAT JOB !

This mix was okay. Sorry to say it wasn't our favorite; probably just a taste preference. It was easy to put together with ingredients we had on hand. I used red pepper flakes and a dash of cayenne pepper in place of green chili pepper flakes and celery flakes in place of the seeds. Also added some chopped onion cooked with the meat.
