Sloppy Joe Bake

I found this at Tops Market courtesy of The Beef Checkoff. I have not tried this recipe, but I'm posting it for safe keeping.

i made this today and added a tablespoon of minced garlic and 2 cans of black beans to make it hearty and to make it enough to feed my big family and it was so good every one loved it even the fussy eaters. i will make this meal again . :)

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 12 lbs ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 28 -32 ounces sloppy joe sandwich sauce (2-14 1/2 or 16oz cans)
  • 3 cups rotini pasta
  • 12 cup water
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese


  1. Heat oven to 350. Brown ground beef with onion in large nonstick skillet over medium heat 8-10 minutes or until beef is not pink. Pour off drippings.
  2. Stir in Sloppy Joe sauce, pasta and water. Transfer to greased 13x9"-inch baking dish. Bake, covered, in 350 oven 35-40 minutes or until pasta is tender. Top with cheese. Bake, uncovered, 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Let stand 5 minutes.
