This recipe has gotten a lot of use. Got it from someone I worked with in the 70's. Still great!
- 453.59 g ground chuck
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 14.79 ml cornstarch
- 14.79 ml sugar
- 59.14 ml ketchup
- 59.14 ml Worcestershire sauce
- 2.46 ml salt
- 0.59 ml pepper
- 14.79 ml vinegar
- 354.88 ml tomato sauce
- Brown together ground beef and onion.
- Add cornstarch, sugar to meat.
- Mix ketchup, Worcestershire, salt, pepper and vinegar and add to pan.
- Add tomato sauce,.
- Boil & cook 20 minutes.
- Serve on buns.
Great recipe. Simple, quick and delicious. Much better flavor than the stuff you get from a can! I had mine over a multi grain bun, while my daughter had it over rice. Worked well both ways.
