- 14.79 ml fennel seed
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 6 green cardamom pods
- 12 whole cloves
- 0 inch piece fresh ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
- 6 whole black peppercorns
- 1656.13 ml water
- 29.58 ml darjeeling tea leaves
- 59.14 ml brown sugar
- 236.59 ml milk
directions
- In a medium saucepan, combine all spices and water.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and steep for 10 minutes.
- Add tea leaves (or bags) and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Strain mixture, discard spices, and return to saucepan.
- Whisk in brown sugar and milk.
- Serve immediately.
