Mmmm! Tastes like I made restaurant food! Besides being quite tasty, it was quick and easy - I love the idea of cooking pasta in the pan instead of boiling it in a pot of water. Plus, the pasta takes on flavor that way. I had cooked chicken from Un-Boiled Chicken (highly recommended, btw) and had asparagus on hand, which I steamed seperately and added in. I used whole wheat pasta spirals, probably more than 2 1/2 cups, so I simply "barely covered" them with the milk and broth, stirred it a few times while cooking, and it came out perfect. I omitted the peppers (personal preference.) However, I feel like the lemon juice is what really made the dish stand out, so I highly recommend it. Also, I added extra cheese, but it tasted better before I did that;do go easy there! So, go make this already; everyone will love it!
Nice flavor and I didn't even have the peppers. For our taste, we would have enjoyed even more broccoli to noodle/chicken ratio.
This is fantastic! I substituted Johnsville Chicken sausages for the chicken. Yum factor is very high!!!
This was pretty good. Fast and easy. Used frozen chicken tenderloins and frozen broccoli, no red peppers. The 16 year old said it wasn't very good but he's really picky. The sauce didn't thicken much but that was ok, I liked it that way.
Made this for PAC Spring 2010. It was very tasty...I did use fat free half and half instead of milk...
It was good, but I used rotini and I think I should have used ziti or something else. I also added some sour cream to make the sauce a little creamier.
The only change we made was to add more garlic and more red pepper, and it was AMAZING! Thanks!
I made this last night and recieved a standing ovation! Actually, the family just stood up to get more of this delicious dish, but I thought I heard them say, "Brava!" Easy, satisfying - what more could you want from a one-pot wonder!! Julie from Vegas
Wow, I have tried many recipes here from ZAAR and my husband has only rated this one and one other one I've made five stars. He is a very hard man to please. This dish was easy and DELICIOUS I will be making it again soon. Thank you!
