You guys have it right. I managed Sizzlers for five years, and your recipe is right on the money.
I discovered this recipe for myself a few years ago and was glad I did! I can no longer find a Sizzler nearby and always liked this bread!
Taste just like their toast. I used sourdough bread and parm/reg and it was fantastic!
The restaurant here uses regular white bread instead of Italian bread so I doubled the cheese to make up for the lack of flavour. My kids were delighted that they get to have this at home. I have already shared the recipe with my friend whose kids love this. Thank you so much for posting.
This is just like the restaurant. I'm making it about once a week! Sometimes I also mix in grated Asiago or Monterey Jack or event Swiss. Thanks for posting.
