ingredients
- 5 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 3 cups sugar
- 1⁄4 cup baking soda
- 1 cup oil
- 1 quart buttermilk
- 4 eggs
- 15 ounces Raisin Bran cereal
directions
- Mix the flour, salt, sugar, and baking soda in a very large bowl.
- Stir in cereal.
- Mix the soda, oil, eggs, and buttermilk in a large bowl; stir well.
- Pour wet mix into dry.
- Stir only to moisten; will be lumpy.
- Can be stored in fridge up to six weeks.
- To bake, preheat oven to 400 degrees; fill greased muffin tins 2/3 full, and bake 20 minutes.

Still in West Virginia but we've moved a few miles away, down to the county capitol. It's a compromise: bigger than our last town but smalelr than the "big city" of Cumberland MD, right up the road. Jobs are not that plentiful here so I am fortunate to be able to work at home (I'm a writer).
