I am pretty sure this would have been even better if I had made it right. I put the juice of 3 lemons in and it was WAY too lemony. It was also too runny and didn't really solidify. It might have been from the extra lemon juice, or I didn't cook it long enough. I only cooked the filling for about 5 minutes after adding the eggs, so it must need longer. I don't do well with directions like "until thick" :)

This was my first ever attempt at Lemon Meringue Pie, and I was very pleased with the results. It was easy to make and very tasty. I also added 2 teaspoons of lemon zest to give it some extra tang. Mine did seperate a tiny bit, but I blame my inexperience for this as I was not sure just how think to make the filling, and I don't think I cooked it long enough. But it was still wonderful. Thanks!

This is a great pie! I like the fact that when you slice it, it stays together. Very easy to prepare, and super great flavor. DH loved it...as a matter of fact, I'm making another one today! LOL I also added plenty of zest and the vanilla. Thanks for sharing.

I made this pie for my Mother-In-Laws 89th Birthday. She had 2 pieces! The only change I made was to add 2 teaspoons of lemon zest to the filling. We like our pies tart, lemony and not too too sweet. Thank you Marie for this wonderful recipe.

I haven't tried to make this pie in about 4 years because of my last desaster. I made it tonight with this recipe and it came out delicious! My family loves it! Thanks for posting!!

Good pie! I have had a few flops with lemon meringue - it would never thicken and we ate tasty lemon soup. This one thickened nicely and as someone else suggested I put the vanilla in the filling also. It was good but my filling wasn't as lemony as I had hoped so I might try it with out next time and see. Could be the sugar and it's a sweeter pie, like the name says. I was just tickled that it wasn't soupy. Definately try this one if you have lemon pie flops like I have!

This is an excellent pie! The lemon filling hold together beautifully and tastes just right, and the meringue was perfect. The only addition I made was 1/4 teasoon of vanilla in the filling and another in the meringue, it just added an extra fullness in the flavor. I would especially recommend this pie to someone if they haven't made lemon meringue before or if they have and it didn't work out, this was so easy to do!
