I find this to be quick to make and tasty. I use Veganaise, which is a dairy and egg free mayo, which I love. You can use any low fat mayo in its place. I prefer to use dill pickle relish, although you can use sweet pickle relish as well.

Have been adding more and more homemade dressings, phasing out those found on the market shelves. Hellmans mayonnaise remains and find it adds much to the homemade as it did in this recipe. Loved this simple Thousand Island Dressing. Have added it to my collection. Thank you for sharing.

Another homemade salad dressing favorite. Excellent with regular Hellman's mayonnaise and sweet green relish. Served for lunch today with a salad of lettuce, spinach, red onion rings, fresh sliced mushrooms, frozen peas thawed, and 4 slices bacon, chopped, fried, and drained well. I am going to try it with just a wedge of iceberg lettuce next time too, like they used to do in the 'olden days'.

This recipe is now in my Top 5 for favorite homemade salad dressings! It was super easy, fast, and used things I usually have on hand. I haven't had 1,000 Island dressing in years (ever since I started making homemade exclusively) but it was my favorite dressing when I was younger. This brought back great taste memories! Thanks for posting it!
