This is my favorite iced tea recipe - I found it in the Good Eating section of the Chicago Tribune.
- Heat water to boiling.
- For the simple syrup, pour 1 cup of the boiled water into a glass measuring cup, stir in sugar until it dissolves.
- Set aside.
- Pour remaining water into a tea pot or glass measuring cup with tea bags.
- Steep 5 minutes, then remove the bags.
- Stir syrup into the tea.
- Chill tea.
I made this tonight to go with my dinner along with Strawberry Lemonade recipe number #61690. Both went well with my dinner tonight. A very easy recipe. Thanks for posting.
I made this last night it was so hot!! I wanted something cool and refreshing , I tried this recipe and it was great!!I didn't want to wait for it to chill so I added ice cubes and kept refilling my glass!!thanks so much Judy!
I brought some to DH for refreshment while cutting the grass. I had a few seconds to look around at his grass cutting handiwork and noticed how short cropped the grass was. My initial reaction was, "Wow, you mow so close the worms are scared!" Anyway, this hit his spot.
