This is one of the best and simplest cookie recipes out there. Soft in the middle and firm on the outside, these cookies are a tad denser than most. The short list of ingredients means you'll always have the required supplies on hand.

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Microwave crisco for 60 seconds or until melted. Set crisco aside to cool. Beat two eggs in a large bowl. Add flour, sugar, walnuts, and crisco. Mix. Slowly add water and mix while adding. Dough should be thin, but not too thin--a little thicker than frosting. Add chocolate chips.
  3. Place heaping spoonfuls of dough onto greased cookie sheet. Bake for 9-11 minutes. Cookies will be brown on botom, but may have a shiny spot on top. Better to undercook than to overcook. Remove cookies from oven and place into freezer. Remove from freezer after 5-10 minutes and enjoy. Yields about 2 dozen 3 inch cookies.

This recipe is not a good one to use. The cookie dough is more like a cake batter. The cookies end up flat like pancakes, and they taste like sugar cookies with chocolate chips in them. I would recommend you find another recipe.
