There are only 3 ingredients to this super simple sorbet. Nice and refreshing on a summer day. The hardest part is waiting for it to freeze!

  1. Freeze strawberries for 2 hours or until hard.
  2. Place strawberries and sugar into a food processor and pulse machine on and off until fruit is broken up.
  3. Add water and continue processing until you have a smooth puree.
  4. Transfer to a container and freeze for 2 hours, or until firm enough to scoop. I stir the mixture every 30 mins or so.

Who would have thought something so simple could be so good. I used frozen strawberries to make this. Nothing could be easier. I'll be making this again. Made for PRMR tag.

Excellent recipe. I used frozen berries from my patch. Hint: Don't rush. Leave your processor running until mixture is very smooth, no lumps! I plan to try this with my frozen blackberries and raspberries. It may work with frozen peach or pear chunks, too.

I don't know yet what the end result will be, but definitely it's not as simple as the recipe claims. I used frozen strawberries and the indicated amount of sugar, bur 1/4 cup of water didn't quite do it. I added 1/4 C more and still it doesn't even remotely look like a smooth pure... It is clumps of frozen sugar-coated strawberries. I will put in the freezer nonetheless because it makes no sense to waste 1 qt strawberries... But I feel like some extra input is missing from the recipe.
