There are only 3 ingredients to this super simple sorbet. Nice and refreshing on a summer day. The hardest part is waiting for it to freeze!
- Freeze strawberries for 2 hours or until hard.
- Place strawberries and sugar into a food processor and pulse machine on and off until fruit is broken up.
- Add water and continue processing until you have a smooth puree.
- Transfer to a container and freeze for 2 hours, or until firm enough to scoop. I stir the mixture every 30 mins or so.
Who would have thought something so simple could be so good. I used frozen strawberries to make this. Nothing could be easier. I'll be making this again. Made for PRMR tag.
I don't know yet what the end result will be, but definitely it's not as simple as the recipe claims. I used frozen strawberries and the indicated amount of sugar, bur 1/4 cup of water didn't quite do it. I added 1/4 C more and still it doesn't even remotely look like a smooth pure... It is clumps of frozen sugar-coated strawberries. I will put in the freezer nonetheless because it makes no sense to waste 1 qt strawberries... But I feel like some extra input is missing from the recipe.
OMG! This is like...I can't even describe it. It is the freshest strawberry taste, not overly sweet and yet very satisfying. It is a strawberry rush! I can honestly say this is the best thing I have made in my ice cream machine. I followed all the steps until freezing and then put it in the ice cream machine and it was sorbet in 25 min. Thanks for such a wonderful, low cal treat!
