This is a slightly healthier version that doesn't use gravy. Also for prep time I am including making the mashed potatoes

Ingredients Nutrition

  1. Brown ground beef with onion. Add to baking dish.
  2. Then place the cream corn on top of the ground beef in baking dish.
  3. Place mashed potatoes on top until the baking dish and mashed potatoes are level.
  4. Bake at 350 until it bubbles.

Loved this was easy and really good. My only complaint was that the shepard's pies I have had in the past were firm, and easy to cut. This was more spoonable...but still very good.

My grandmother used to make shepherd's pie, and it was fantastic. This tasted exactly like hers. This is such an easy recipe, especially if you make mashed potatoes for another meal, make extra, and use the leftovers. I did just that, and instead of adding an onion, I used Recipe #31008, so it was already seasoned. The way the flavors meld together is amazingly good. We are not fans of creamed corn, but you don't notice too much in here. Thanks alyseepoo!
