Simple Meringue

"Just thought i would share this recipe for meringue that a friend gave me as it is simple and always turns out great - this does enough for two meringue pavlova bases."

  • Whisk the egg whites until they are stiff and form peaks.
  • Then whisk in 75% of the sugar, the vanilla and vinegar until mixed.
  • Fold in the remaining sugar then cook on low heat - 100 degrees centigrade for 3 hours.
  • Remove from oven and leave to cool then decorate as wished.

I live in the South of England, no kids but preparing for one day cooking for a whole brood hopefully! I love Australia most of all for food - exotic food but also hearty homecooked aswell. I enjoy salsa to burn off the excess calories and one day again i hope to be some good at it!
