1. Absolutely loved this sauce! I used it to simmer Recipe #287769 by petlover, so I omitted the beef in the sauce. I, too, always add cinnamon to meat sauce, but have never tried ginger. I really enjoyed the added layer of flavor and I love how chunky the sauce is. It tastes very fresh! I did add some fresh herbs (thyme, sage, parsley and basil) and 1 t brown sugar because we like a sweet sauce, but otherwise made as directed. Fantastic with pet's meatballs! Thanks Abi Fae!

 2. YumMee! What a great, fast way to make a tasty sauce that can be used in so many ways. Tonight we're going to have it with Better-than-storebought Mozzarella Sticks. You can taste the cinnamon, but it's not overpowering; just a nice hint of it. I used my stick blender to break down the tomatoes for a slightly thicker sauce that would stick to the cheese sticks better. Thanks, Abi Q, for this keeper!

I love studying history! Most of the cookbooks I am collecting are half history book, half cookbook.

One of the best cookbooks I have ever read is Jewish Holiday Baking by Marcy Goldman. I like anything by Mollie Katzen, too.

I am trying to get better at making soups. I am also making forays into Russian cooking.

I am on a low carbohydrate diet for various and sundry health reasons. It's a lot of fun tweaking recipes to be low carb enough for me to enjoy. I've become a much better cook because of it.

I love sewing, embroidery, cooking, baking, and dancing. I just got a full time job again so I am relearning how to fit my cooking in around a strict schedule. The crock pot is once again my best friend.
