- 1 tablespoon gelatin
- 1 1⁄2 cups cold water
- 1⁄2 cup boiling water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup lemon juice or 1 cup orange juice or 1 cup grapefruit juice or 1 cup lime juice (or a combination)
- Sprinkle gelatine over ½ cup of the cold water in medium pan; stand for 10 minutes; add the boiling water and stir over low heat until gelatine is dissolved; add sugar and stir without boiling until sugar is dissolved; add remaining cold water and the (strained) juices; refrigerate until cold; pour into freezer trays and freeze 2-3 hours or until just firm.
- May be served in scoops or scraped.
This goes so well during summers with kids, big and small, around my house:) We make it and freeze it for a few hours prior to serving. This "is" good!
