I made this to take to a church potluck and all I got was rave reviews! :) The only thing I changed was the apples. I needed to use some home-canned apple pie filling - so did that. Thank you for sharing the recipe! I did bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes and 350 degrees for an additional 30 - 35 minutes - the way I usually bake my pies. Made for the February 2010 Aussie/NZ recipe swap.
wow! this was sooo delicious!! made it for DH for father's day and he loved it! I added raspberries to the blackberries and apple. First time I've made a pie cooking the apples first, it worked quite well, but i don't really see the necessity. I used splenda but cut the amount in half we do like our pie a little tart. Also didn't agree with the baking time, 20 minutes was not enought to cook the pastery, I did my usual thing, 15 minutes at 400f degrees and 40 minutes at 350f degrees, perfectly cooked pastry. Even with what I have said it is worth the 5 stars for the flavour alone, really delish!! thanks for posting. PS sorry the photos of the pieces didn't turn out but I did get a good one of the whole pie. I should add that your photo of the piece is gorgeous and is what made me make the pie!!
