Simple Barbecue Cole Slaw

"This crunchy, sweet & spicy slaw is vinegar based, no Mayo. and also gluten, dairy, and egg free. And if you don't want to shred the cabbage, just pick up the ready made version at the grocery store - two 1 pound bags are just enough."

  • Combine vinegar, sugar, salt, celery seed, paprika, black pepper, & cayenne in a blender; blend on low speed until sugar is dissolved.
  • With blender running, slowly pour oil through top of lid, processing until dressing is combined. Set aside.
  • Combine shredded cabbage and shredded carrots in a separate large bowl.Add dressing, tossing to combine.
  • Refrigerate for 2 hours, tossing occasionally, before serving.

Love to cook! I want to learn to cook healthy meals for my husband and I. I found the site looking for a good cucumber salad recipe. :) I do love the Crock Pot, when you live in the mountains and drive aprox. 4 hours on a work day. It is nice to come home to.
