I remember making this with my Mother, and now I have my children help me. Its a simple recipe that easily doubles. Add walnuts if you want.

  1. Mix first 4 ingredients well, add flour, soda, and salt and mix again. Pour mixture into one greased 4x8 bread pan or multiple small bread pans.
  2. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 50 minutes, 40 for smaller pans.
