  • Mix cornstarch and cold water together in a small plastic bowl.
  • Add food coloring and stir.
  • Repeat this process to create different colors of sidewalk paint.
  • When done, you can wash it away with the garden hose.

  1. I had to adjust the water and cornstarch on a case by case bases but we had SO MUCH FUN!!! The kids made handprints on the pavement and painted tree trunks, among other thing. Thanks for posting this recipe, this will be a regular at our house!
     
  2. This was alot of fun, but there is no way that you could actually use a paintbrush and paint with this. It made a very odd "slime" type mix that the kids loved touching. I will probably keep playing around with this to see if I can get it into a paintable mix. Thanks for alot of fun and great laughs.

  4. The amount of cornflour was definitely less. I had to add more cornflour to make the paint thicker. With just 1/4 cup cornflour, it was too watery(too thin).
