This is the first OAMC meal that I attempted. I don't remember where I got the recipe from but it remains one of my favorites. It's simple and delicious.

Ingredients Nutrition

Directions

  1. Brown ground beef and onion, drain.
  2. Add spaghetti sauce and let simmer 10 minutes.
  3. Cook elbow macaroni according to package.
  4. Mix cream cheese and milk in medium bowl and microwave on medium for 2-3 minutes. After microwaving, stir with wire whisk until blended.
  5. Drain noodles and add to cream cheese mixture. Stir in sour cream, green pepper and parmesan cheese.
  6. Mix together meat and cream cheese mixture in 2 qt casserole dish or freezer bag and freeze up to 3 months.
  7. To serve, thaw overnight in refrigerator. Bake, covered at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes until hot. Uncover, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and bake 5-10 more minutes.

This was good but bland. I'm going to try the italian sausage next time to see if that helps the taste.

This was OK. I did make it a second time to exhange with my freezer meal group, and changed the recipe by doing a combo of italian sausage and ground beef. I sauteed the green peppers along with the onions and mixed it in the meat so they would not be as firm. Changed pasta to rotini.

This was really yummy as I was taste-testing, but after freezing it was rather bland.
