This was very simple and delicious! I made a little extra sauce to flavor my rice. Made for "My Food Odyssey" for Andorra.
This was perfect!! Our three girl's loved it. We doubled the recipe so that we could have leftovers the next day...which did not happen. We served it with Saffron rice and crusty bread.
I would give this 10 stars if possible. Waaaaa, I didn't have saffron and I had to use regular sherry in place of the sherry vinegar. Our most upscale grocery didn't have either. I am ordering saffron and the sherry vinegar on line tonight and will make this again asap. I can't even imagine how good it will be with the proper ingreds.
We absolutely loved this. I cut the recipe in half and it worked great. Loved how the saffron turned the dish orange, even the tomatoes. I served this over Coriander Rice for a wonderful meal. Made for "Top Favorites of 2009" tag game. Thanks for posting. :)
Wow Vicki, we loved this dish. I added some grape tomatoes to the mix because I didn't have enough of the regular tomatoes. I also added extra paprika, red pepper flakes and saffron (personal preference only) This was so good, very flavorful. Quick and easy to make. Loved the addition of the sherry wine vinegar, it gives a lovely robust flavor to the dish. Thank you for sharing a dish that I will make again. :)
Loved this one! I didn't have sherry vinegar so I used white wine vinegar and added some sherry. I used a vidalia onion keeping with the spanish theme. Quick, easy and delicious! Made for ZWT 5 by a Epicurean Queen.
what a terrific dish, bold vibrant flavors! I used a quarter cup of real sherry along with the vinegar bc i had it on hand. I love saffron! Made for zwt5
This meal was fast and easy to prepare. I used fresh tomatoes from my garden. I thought this had a lot of nice flavor. I will definitely make this again. Thanks for posting.
Fantastico! Maravilloso! Wow, what can I say? This was great! I am glad I tried this. Normally, I'm not a big fan of Spanish cuisine, but I had to make a Spanish recipe for the Zaar World Tour III, and decided to leave my culinary "comfort zone" and try something new. I loved this, especially the subtle mix of outstanding flavors: the sherry wine vinegar and saffron is an amazingly good yet subtle accompaniment to the shrimp. I was feeling lazy today, so I used canned chopped tomatoes instead of fresh. I doubt it made much of a difference. So glad I tried this, this is a nice low-cal recipe that I plan to make again. Gracias.
