THIS IS AWESOME. It's now a staple in our home. We are both in school and it's one of those easy and satisfying meals that we love. The flavors are scrumptious and we just throw the shrimp on the grill. We always serve it up with bowtie pasta.
FANTASTIC! I know you are not supposed to talk with food in your mouth but with every bite my BF and I mumbled to eachother how great it was! I used I can rotel tomatoes with chilies and served it over angle hair pasta. This recipe is in my rotation (so I was told) lol. Thanks Martha;)
I thought this was really good. Next time I will add some jalapeno or red pepper to spice it up a bit. I actually ran my "salsa" through the food processor and then added a little extra chopped tomato for texture after that. I just cooked the shrimp in the marinade instead of frying and it worked fine! I would actually thicken the sauce up next time. Served over rice.
Absolutely delicious, I was looking for something a bit different to have with pasta, and this really hit the spot. Has a nice, Thai type flavour to it. Doubled up on the tomatoes, and think I would add perhaps a little bit of chilli to it next time, but will definitely be eating this one again. Thanks
This has delicious, clean flavors. I used the 2 limes as directed, but the sauce was too tart. Maybe a measurement for the lime juice would help. It was so very limey! We like limes, but next time I will reduce that element. Loved the cilantro and garlic. Great shrimp!
This was a very easy, delicious dish. I was looking for something easy to put together, and had most of the ingredients on hand, so decided to give it a try. I didn't have fresh limes, but I did have lime juice, so I used that. I used about 2 tablespoons per lime the recipe called for, and it tasted great. Next time I'll try the fresh limes to see how much of a difference it makes. I love fresh cilantro, so went a little on the heavy side with it. I think I'll actually put a little more in next time, so if you love fresh cilantro, go heavy with it. Yum.
I made this tonight. This is a really great flavorful dish. Tastes light and fresh. I might try it with some quinoa next time for a different variation (had it with rice tonight). My husband loved it too. Thanks for the wonderful shrimp recipe!
Made this last night, followed recipe exactly, served with brown rice I made using Thai flavored stock instead of water. This was very delicious and super easy to make. The cooked marinade added a lot of flavor, so much that I think next time I won't bother using stock to make the rice. Tempted to try this with a rice or bean noodle for more of an Asian flair and add some coconut milk to make it more of a soup just to mix things up. Absolutely wonderful recipe writen as is, highly recommend!
was looking for something quick and flavorful and found this. changed it a little bit. used grape tomatoes (cut in half) in place of the cut up tomatoes. put coriander in the marinade, instead of just mixing it in. i didn't grill the shrimp, just warmed them, because i was using leftover, already cooked, shrimp. used olive oil that was infused with red pepper and served it all over whole wheat pasta.
it was great hot, and then i found myself eating the leftovers right out of the fridge a few hours later. this would taste great at dinner or served cold on a picnic.
was super easy to make and hardly any dishes made cleanup easy, too.
This is a family favorite! Even my picky two-year-old likes it!! We like to have it every couple of weeks. I use cherry tomatoes, and serve it with brown or white rice. SO GOOD!!
