- 12 slices white bread
- 1 lb small shrimp, chopped
- 1⁄4 cup onion, chopped
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 (4 ounce) can water chestnuts
- 1 egg
directions
- Chop all filling ingredients in food processor.
- Spread on bread.
- Cut in quarters and fry, shrimp side down in hot oil (375 degrees).
- Brown both sides lightly.
- Drain on paper towels and enjoy.
