This is a very tasty seafood pasta, and less than 1/2 hour to make. Most of time is spent on cleaning & deveining the shrimp.

Ingredients Nutrition

  1. Boil water for the linguine, adding 1 tbsp of the olive oil and a pinch of salt to the water. Cook the linguine for 7-8 minutes (al dente), stirring every minute. While the pasta is cooking, heat a large skillet with remaining olive oil.
  2. When th e oil is hot, add the shrimp to the skillet, sauteeing until the shrimp turns pink, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the garlic and the basil and cook an additional 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the butter, and toss in the pasta, making sure to coat the pasta with the sauce. Remove from heat.
  5. Serve immediately and garnish with the Asiago cheese as desired!

20 Stars! DH, who is a Pasta afficionado rated this as excellent, and that's a HUGE compliment since his "that was very nice" usually means that the recipe gets a 5 star rating LOL. The combination of garlic, butter and fresh basil is simple but totally tasteful and even though I left the shrimp out this time becuase I was serving shrimp as a seperate dish, it was clear that dish dish and shrimp are a match made in heaven. Please see my Rating System: 5 wonderful stars for a dish that will be made in combination with other shrimp dishes and with the shrimp in it as a favourite in our house from now on. A definiate winner! Thanks!
