Shrimp Cocktail Sauce

"Very simple and delicious sauce to serve with boiled or fried shrimp."

 

• Ready In: 5mins
• Ingredients: 4
• Yields: 1 cup

ingredients

• 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
• 3⁄4 cup ketchup
• 3 tablespoons chili sauce (like Heinz)
• 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

directions

1. Mix all of the ingredients.
2. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.

Made for the weekend, so have just sampled off a spoon. (Shrimp comes in on Thursdays) I like to make the sauce at least a day ahead to blend the flavors. I like it! Made for ZWT3.

Made this recipe for ZWT 3. It just doesn't get easier or tastier than this. I served this with steamed shrimp and it was perfect. Very nice blend of flavors. Great sauce ! Grew up with a "shrimper" grandpa so they were always around and we love mixing up a sauce like this ! YUM !

We eat a lot of shrimp here in Iceland where they are reasonably priced compared to the U.S., but they do not eat them w/cocktail sauce as is typical in the U.S. I like them w/it so this was a good pick for me. This is a classic & the proportion of ingredients is right on for me & very tasty w/just the right amt of heat. Thx for posting this recipe.
