- 1 cup ketchup
- 3⁄4 cup Bourbon
- 3 tablespoons blackstrap molasses
- 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
- 1⁄4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons ground mustard
- 1⁄2 tablespoon liquid smoke
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1⁄2 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1⁄2 tablespoon cayenne pepper (or I use homemade smoked chili powder)
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon coriander
- 1 teaspoon white pepper
- 1 teaspoon sweet smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon hot smoked paprika
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dried cilantro
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dried thyme
directions
- Combine all ingredients in a small sauce pot and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low/medium-low.
- Simmer and reduce for 45 minutes to an hour or until desired consistency is achieved.
