  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  • Beat butter, icing sugar and vanilla until creamy.
  • In a separate bowl, combine flour, corn starch, baking powder and salt;stir half into butter mixture.
  • Stir in toffee bits and remaining flour mixture.
  • Roll heaping tablespoons of dough into balls and place on prepared cookie sheets about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake in preheated oven for about 15 minutes or until lightly golden.
  • Let cool on pan for about 5 minutes and dust with more icing sugar, if desired.

  1. This is the first time that I ACTUALLY followed a recipe to the tee.... And they were unpalatable! Too alkaline! Maybe dial back 1/4 on the corn starch and flour and add a bit more butter.
     
  2. These are the best cookies! I add a bit more by drizzling melted tempered chocolate on them and they are delish! Try them! They are also a Christmas tradition with my family! I'm goinng to upload a a picture! Enjoy!

I am a busy single mom of 5 growing boys!! My children's ages are 21,18,14,12 and 10 1/2. In my spare time,when I have any, I try to walk 3 miles a day.I like to read Woman's World and inspirational books and if I didn't have 5 beautiful boys to care for, I would probably be doing missionary work. I live in the beautiful Okanagan Valley in British Columbia and I swear we must be living in Heaven on earth!!!I would love to travel if I had the resources and time with Brazil and South America being on the top of my list of places to see.
