- 2 1⁄2 - 3 lbs beef short ribs
- 1⁄3 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3⁄4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 cup onion
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 cup water
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1⁄4 cup vinegar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
directions
- Dredge ribs in flour, salt and pepper. Fry in oil.
- Fry onions and garlic in oil.
- Combine water, bay leaf, brown sugar, vinegar, and soy sauce. Pour over ribs, cover and bake 2 1/2 hours.
