Sherrie's Peanut Butter Cookies

"Peanut butter cookies from Sherrie"

• Yields: 12 cookies

ingredients

• 1 cup shortening
• 1 cup peanut butter
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 tablespoon vanilla
• 2 1⁄4 cups flour
• 2 tablespoons baking soda
• 1⁄4 tablespoon salt

directions

1. Begin with shorting and mix all the ingredient. Heaping tablespoon of mixture, flatten with back of fork.
2. bake at 350 for 10 minutes.

I followed your instructions as posted. I got 2 dozen 4-5 inch cookies (these cookies spread out to about twice the size of the cookie size before baking.) I had to bake them a little longer than 10 minutes to get them the way I liked. Initially, I didn't care for these cookies but I waited a day then gave it another taste. Waiting a day made a big difference in flavor and texture. I WILL make these again. This batch is going to the office or I'll end up eating them all! Thank you for sharing.
