I'll give this recipe 5 stars for the great flavors. I love this type combination. I did however make some a few changes. I used two 6 oz boxes of Stove Top Savory Herb Stuffing Mix (I prefer that over the Pepperidge Farm) and only half the butter stated in the recipe and that was plenty for our liking. I also covered the dish for the first 30 minutes of baking and then uncovered the last 15 minutes and it still got a little toasty on top. There is a lot of stuffing mix in this recipe and boderline over-powering the chicken mixture. I did add a nice sprinkle of black papper and a thin layer of parmesan cheese to the chicken mixture before adding the final layer of stuffing. I will make this again with some adjustments on the stuffing mix. Thanks for sharing. Made for Let's Party 2011.people found this review Helpful. Tasty comfort food. Split it for us, used 6 ounce box, diced zucchini, and subbed in chicken stock for the evaporated milk b/c did not have, and added black pepper. Thanks Sophie.people found this review Helpful. You can only vote others' reviews helpful or not helpful... Was this review helpful to you? Yes | No We don't know who you are. This made a very nice casserole, easily prepared. Since we have different products here, I used Ina Parmaans Poultry Stuffing mix. I halved the recipe, so only needed one box, and also only one can of soup. I didnt have pre-cooked chicken, so chopped up and sauteed 2 chciken fillets. I added to the mixture, a chopped yellow bell pepper and some sliced zucchini (also sauteeing beforehand), simply because I like more vegetables. This was tasty, made plenty, (even after halving the recipe), I served it on rice with steamed broccoli on the side. Very nice recipe, made for I Recommend tag game.people found this review Helpful. Made this as given, using cream of chicken soup & a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store (rather than my usual chopped or shredded chicken breast from the freezer) & must say that is was absolutely delicious, & probably much more flavorful than if I'd used the breasts! Gonna have to start freezing meat from the whole chicken just for recipes like this! A great recipe keeper for me! Thanks for sharing it!
