5 stars goes to the dough. This recipe is wonderful because it is easily personalizable. I happened to have some ground turkey in the freezer, so I used that as my meat. To season, I took the advice of Fairy Nuff and used hoisin sauce and soy sauce, which gave the meat a nice flavor. Wonderful!

Wonderful recipoe I've made it twice now, usually I just fill them with steak and take them with me to snack on at work throughout the week. My first time using a steamer and everything came out perfectly every time, kudos for the recipe!

I used shrimp instead of beef, mixed with some grated ginger, a few drops of sesame oil, and a little soy sauce. Very tasty little buns.

These came out great! This was the first time I used my bamboo steamer for anything but veggies. I added green onions and spicy sausage. Thanks for posting.

I too am reviewing and giving five stars to the bun recipe--I've always wanted to make these and this works perfectly. I made a vegetable stuffing, but am so pleased at how the buns came out. Thanks, dee!

I'm giving this five stars mainly for the dough because I did change a few things. First I used pork mince (ground pork)...and second I cooked it and added a tablespoon of hoisin sauce and a tablespoon of soy sauce. I love steamed pork buns and these were great - even better than the ones we buy at Chinatown!!
