- Yields:
-
1 toastie
- Serves:
- 4
ingredients
- 1 green pepper
- 2 English muffins (cut in half into four halves)
- 4 slice cheddar cheese
directions
- 1. To make one, slice a green pepper crosswise near the pointed end to get a small, three-lobed shamrock shape. (If your pepper has four lobes, you've got a lucky clover instead.) Cut a small slice for a stem.
- 2. Toast half an English muffin, then top it with a slice of Cheddar and the pepper shamrock.
- 3. repeat as many times as you want (for four do it 3x more).
- 4.Place the muffins on a tray, then broil it in a toaster oven until the cheese is melted (this time will vary by toaster oven so keep an eye on it).

~Tasty Dish~ and I love Family Fun's recipes! Another creative recipe from them! We also tried this with bagels and freshly grated Parmesan cheese. PS we used Tillamook cheese slices. This was also good with Tillamook Swiss cheese slices, too. I will try to remind myself next time I prepare this to take a picture of the toastie and post it. Thanks!

I am a busy mom both with stuff at home and my work. My kids and husband love to try new creations so they are right at home with my love of recipes. It is fun to make something and try several different ways at it. I love to try different enchilada recipes, recipes for various ice teas, and anything that gets food on the table on the weeknights. Restaurant recipes for the weekends are another favorite.
